The role of the Department of Health
For research that will be conducted in the Western Cape, based on data collected in the Western Cape. Research conducted in other provinces, or international research does not require provincial research approval

Research education
Registrars are encouraged to attend the Research Methods for Registrars course or complete the computer-based modules.Research methodology forms part of the Advanced Emergency Centre Management Course and the How to write a paper and Critical Appraisal for Registrars course. The material provided online here is meant to be used as a resource when these courses are attempted
